FINER NINER AWARD

The Finer Niner award was created in 2001.  A plaque is given at the final meeting/brunch of our league season.  The award gives recognition to the person(s) who have been instrumental in making our league the best league in Sun City Grand.  We know there is a lot of unused talent in our organization.  So, please volunteer.  CONGRATULATIONS to JANINE GARRETT who received the 2009 Finer Niner Award.

PROJECT LUKE

Our league has donated food, gifts and money to Luke Air Force Base since 2001.  The Ladies Grand Niners created this program “Project Luke” to reach out to our servicemen & women during the holiday season.  The money collected helps with the purchase of gifts. It also helps the Personnel Services at Luke Air Base to meet the needs of military families during the holiday season. Your support & generosity is greatly appreciated.  Our 2008 coordinator for Project Luke is Doisey Landry.

Doisey has hit the ground running......

Doisey said the goal for Project Luke for this year is $4000.  At Octoberfest, raffle tickets for 4 gift basket and the sale of "wonder wallets" plus a personal donation raised $622.  She will sell raffle tickets again at Kickoff meeting and the winners of the baskets will be picked after the meeting.  The sale of wonder wallets will continue until Dececember.
