League Day of Play
DAY OF PLAY
- On the day of play, all players must be checked in by 12:00 noon/2:30 p.m. including annual pass holders at both Check-In table and the Pro-Shop. If you are not there by 12:00 noon/2:30 p.m., your space will be given to a stand-by player and you will be fined as a NO-SHOW.
- Beginning at 12:00 noon/2:30 p.m. the check-in person(s) will fill empty spots with members who have shown up at the golf course to be on standby.
- Check the easel for your starting hole assignment and names of other players in your foursome. Proceed to the assigned cart spot to team up with your foursome. Hole numbers are painted on the concrete in the starting area.
- Announcements and instructions will begin at 12:10 p.m./2:45 p.m.
AFTER PLAY IS COMPLETE
- Please park your golf cart away from the snack bar area.
- Total your scorecards and have two members of your foursome sign each card.
- Mark scores and totals clearly. If scorecard is not legible, it will be discarded and scores will not be used for play of the day or input into the handicap system.
- Deposit the official scorecard in the “Official Scorecard” box and the backup scorecard in the “Backup Scorecard” box. Both boxes will be at the checkin table at the course of play or in the snack bar area at Desert Springs in the second drawer from the left under the bulletin board.
- The handicap committee will post your league scores during the league season (November thru May). According to AWGA rules, members must post their own scores for all non-league play.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
- Bad weather/frost delays – If the course is open, we will play, check-in is 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. It is your responsibility to inquire about playing conditions/frost delays – on day of play, check the Ladies Grand Niners website at www.ladiesgrandniners.homestead.com for frost warning delays.
